Our Music Director

Craig Coelho is our Choir Director, pianist and organist.

He is a sophmore at Jefferson High School and is very dedicated to the music ministry in our church. His versatility and passion are a great gift for the church. He is always open to new ideas and some Sundays integrates music during the pastor's sermon.

We are very blessed to have him!

Rev. Javier Olivares

Hurdtown UMC has a choir that sings every Sunday morning at the 9:30 am service.  The group presently consists of 6-8 members depending on their schedule.  The choir and I have a lot of fun each week, and they enjoy singing for the Lord!  We sing both traditional and contemporary songs depending on each weeks service.

Anyone can join the choir!  We sing at Hurdtown to praise God, and all you need is a love for singing.  You may think you can't sing, but why not give it a try?  Everyone is different, and we are very flexible.

The choir rehearses before weekly service at 8:30 am, and rehearses after service no later than 11:30 am.  We do not rehearse during the week.  If you would like to sing, and are worried about your schedule conflicting it's alright.  We realize that people are busy, and if you can't make a rehearsal or service we understand!  Come at your convenience!

At the last Sunday of every month Hurdtown worships in Contemporary style.

At Hurdtown, the music is geared towards all.  Some people like a variety of styles and we try to sing songs that appeal to everyone.

If you would like to become a member of the choir, please contact me during the service.  The choir members and congregation will welcome you with open arms.
